The Fermi Paradox is based on remarks attributed to Enrico Fermi, who is
supposed to have said something on the order of "if extraterrestrial
cultures exist, then why aren't they here?"
Supporters of the paradox (that humans must be alone in the universe)
cite the number of probable starfaring
alien races based on numbers of habitable stars and various probabilities.
Critics point out the circular reasoning and lack of facts.
Our position on the subject should be obvious. By the way, did you
say you are from New York? Then you must know my friend Jack.
