Writer's Block

Yellow, lined with pink and green
     write the words down in between
          find the things you need to say
               it's safe to write them down this way.
Words can trip you into hell
     words can even cast a spell
          writing's safer -- writing lasts
               neither side reacts as fast.

You can read your thoughts again
and think them out 'ere you begin.

Writing is a one-way street
     as a safety valve it can't be beat
          time will damp reactions here
               so the writer need not fear
Speaking is a different danger
     (careful when you talk to strangers)
          Be always careful what you say
               words might haunt another day
Yellow, lined with pink and green
     write the words down in between
          feel your way now, take your time
               ease the stress by making rhymes.
