White Lies

our lives are eased by small white lies
our frictions greased as they arise
to shade the truth, withhold a word
opinions thought, but never heard
silence sometimes will not do
so think of something that is true
vagueness  is an easy choice
just use a pleasant tone of voice
use adjectives that don't apply
and so avoid both truth and lies
