The One-legged Dancer  (for "Jorge"-- a person I know)

Oh, the one-legged dancer, he dances so fine
he stomps and he shimmies, he swivels in line
his arms syncopate to his one-footed pace
with love of the dance written clear on his face

his fingers are stubs and his leg scarred with burns
but none of that matters as he dips and turns
his arms syncopate to his one-footed pace
with love of the dance written clear on his face
