and confectioners
with maybe 
collaboration by the 
Postal Service
surely the florists
had a hand as well
with roses now 
$100 a dozen
not to mention
the restaurants, 
bars and theaters
a fake holiday
meant to fill that dry spell
for merchants
between Christmas and Easter
