After the Shift

the wait is done
it seems safe now
the sun is at peace 
and the heavens are calm
to-night the moon will beam
through breaking clouds
and the Northern Lights 
will curve across the stars
in glorious nightly decoration
the changes almost seem normal
and in this particular time
it is enough for us
to feel the soft rain
and smile at each other
the strife has run its course
life goes on, more patiently now
we have all we need
in true love and shared dreams
